I’m a shredder.
Perhaps it’s because I've watched one two many Lifetime channel movies about identity theft.
I can’t be trusted with a credit card. Yet all these credit card companies insist on sending me application after application …
Truth be told If someone tried to steal my identity, I think they would be sorely disappointed. They would not find themselves with an unlimited credit line …
… or rolling in the big bucks …
So it’s not my identity I’m worried about …
… it’s having a pissed off thief knowing where I live …
P.S. Have you heard about this little challenge of ours? The deadline is January 31 where you can link up your "Impossibilities" challenge results at a 'progressive' multi-blog link party ... (the party will be live until midnight (CST) on Friday, February 3.
P.P.S. These inexpensive bins that now live in my remodeled entry (here) were purchased at Target and ‘labeled’ with scrapbook letters. They’ve been invaluable in keeping me – and my unruly mail – much more organized.

that is perfect! i would have to have "burn, keep, shred" though.... bills scare me. i let my husband deal with them.
ReplyDeleteI will find you by your numbered steps..... then I will creep into your foyer..... find the keep bin...... and fill it will my bills.
ReplyDelete~Bliss~
Looks really nice! I need to deal with one of my counters..I think it needs baskets!
ReplyDeletehi Linda,
ReplyDeleteLOL about the thief!
The baskets are great. There's something about having a dedicated place that just makes things so much easier. Your bills have a "home" or a least a favorite rest stop.
(Took me an hour and a half in the Container Store last night to find a good home for my onions and potatoes. Finally found the perfect containers. Maybe now my potatoes will stop sproutin'.)
As for shredders, I've burned out 2 of em. I keep buying the inexpensive ones, but apparently I need to get a better made model.

I loved this p[ost. I can so relate to the pissed off thief! Great idead for corralling the paper!
ReplyDeleteLove your entry... and when in doubt I shred away!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Bravo my well-written friend! I agree....I wouldn't want any unsavory characters mad at me!
ReplyDeleteblessings,
karianne
I'm saving mine for a bonfire - I think I'm a bit of an arsonist at heart !
ReplyDeleteUpdate on my 'challenge' here - http://justpaintitwhite.blogspot.com/2012/01/imagine-impossibilities-challenge.html
Thanks Fiona
I love it! I think I'll have to make something like that - we don't shred, though, we burn the unruly mail. ;)

Genius! I'm doing this tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! I can't wait to read more. Thanks WW! OH and I totally feel like this is my life right now - because we started by painting our spare room and it has turned into a TON of house remodels and redecorating - haha!
ReplyDeleteLavonne @ <*Our Wish>
You are so organized! My hubs tells me he wishes someone would steal my credit card - the bill would be less!!!!!
ReplyDeleteKelly
This is a perfect idea, Linda!! My daughter and I were just talking yesterday about how the 'stacks' get out of control!! blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteI like the use of baskets keeping your mail organized. Great post thanks!
ReplyDeleteToo funny. What's worse than a thief...a pissed off thief. Nice bins!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you linked up!! I need something like this for my mail! Right now it just ends up on the washing machine!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a great idea. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHa! I see what you mean! That thief WOULD be mighty angry. Random comment- love the look of your blog! The colors are nice.
ReplyDelete(Thanks for linking up with the #findingthefunny party. Hope you come back next week!)
I love this idea. I've been trying to figure out a stylish way to hide those piles of mail we get every day (and stuff that needs to be taken up\down the stairs.
ReplyDeleteAlso, FYI. I opted out of all those credit card offers awhile back and now get MUCH LESS junk mail. You can find info on how to do that (it's easy!) at http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre17.shtm.
Great idea! Right now my husband and I divide mail in a "yours, mine, no one wants to deal with it" manner. The last category is a hot-potato and we just keep passing whatever annoying item it is back and forth until one of us takes action.
ReplyDeleteI definitely need some of these.
ReplyDeleteLMAO! The pissed off thief comment--OMG hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI so wish had a foyer as big as this, yes mine is tiny! but love the board and batten, and a place to put the bills, who knew one could be so organized. I think half the battle of being organized is having the space to do it. Cute about the pissed off thief! Thanks for sharing your creative inspiration at Sunday's Best Party!
