link party link up how to

I’m hosting my very first link party next week.

It’s no secret that I am a party girl.  Yep.  I like to party.  Like to mingle.  I’m not shy.  I like to talk.  Hey, I spend much of my day pecking away here with my mostly silent beagle curled up at my side.

But now I get to be the hostess with the mostess …

And with that goal in mind, I thought I’d give you some “directions” on how to get here …

and link up here …

… you know, with a tutorial on how to link up your “Impossibilities” posts to next week’s (January 31st) “Imagine the Impossibilities” link party …

My party hosting service will be InLinkz, just like Gina uses at her fabulous The Shabby Creek Cottage weekly link party.  So on my January 31 party post (going live at 7 AM EST) you’ll find that blue “Add your link” blue button …

In that top text box …

Which you’ll find here … (or by right clicking on your post headline and choosing “Copy Link Location”)

But you’re not done yet.  As a courtesy, you really should link back to the party …

Now I’ve been cooking and cleaning like a maniac in preparation for the January 31 link party, so I hope you’ll be joining me and my five party co-hosts to share your “Impossibilities” experiences.

We want to hear it all.  The good.  The bad.  The ugly.

P.S. If you have any link party questions, please fee free to leave them in the comments thread …

  2. I am sooooo excited for you gals!
You've done a great job communicating and helping promote those of us who have taken the challenge.

Monday will be a VERY fun day!

(Now I have to get back to work. These Jimmy John's signs take HOURS and HOURS to make. Okay, they wouldn't take so long if i didn't do them down to the pixel...lol.) But, it's fun~

  6. Linda-

Some parties have blocking code {where you must link back before you link up}, so that step, in some cases, has to be included first. Today's Creative Blog has her party with that blocking code.

Yeah for Monday. I still have some finishing touches to do...

    Have a good weekend.

  7. This is a good tutorial for those who have not linked up to a party. When I first started no one showed me how. Still, as technologically dumb as I am I did figure it out. Getting buttons to work took me a lot longer, so thank you for including both methods.
